Ron Craig: Many claim Christianity is outdated

Christian Author and Pastor Ron Craig

The calendar does not dominate my messages. The Lord shows me what to teach in my books, in our meetings and in these articles. So this week, this is what I was led to write. Many in our day claim Christianity is outdated. Since we live in the 21st century, we must adjust our beliefs to 21st-century thinking. The Bible is an old outdated book that is no longer valid; even if it ever was. I have actually crossed paths with ministers who taught such lies in their local churches—one right here in the shoals area. That is why I must point out some Scripture passages that address that demonic falsehood. In the previous message, I stressed that God has already given us the only strategy we need to solve most if not all human problems. Of course, that strategy is written in the Bible—

Ron Craig: In All These Things We More Than Conquer

Christian Author and Pastor Ron Craig

I have heard preacher after preacher pray to God to give them a strategy which will address and solve at least some of the social and other problems in their communities. Those preachers ought to use the strategy God has already given us—Preach the Word of God—2 Timothy 4:2. God’s Word created this universe (Genesis 1:1 and John 1:3); God’s Word sustains His creation (Colossians 1:17 and Hebrews 1:3); people get born again by God’s Word (James 1:18 and 1 Peter 1:23); and every word of God has life in it (Proverbs 4:20-22 and Matthew 4:4). God’s Word is the only entity that actually sets people free (John 8:31-32, 36 and Galatians 5:1), etc., etc., etc. Think now: If the very Creator and Sustainer of this universe cannot get the job done, what other power can? He is also well known as the Redeemer of lost mankind. Redeemer from what? From all of the problems that Adam’s fall brought upon mankind! Jesus Christ provided the salvation (deliverance) from all human problems.

Ron Craig: One who created us can deliver us

Author and Pastor Ron Craig

Although not everyone is ignorant of the Bible principle I laid down in the previous lesson, many may not have ever thought about it in that light. Since human problems basically stem from flaws resident in the human spirit and mind, inherited from Adam through his rebellion in the Garden of Eden, then the basic solution to those problems would reasonably have to be applied to those inner areas of sinful human beings. That being successful in cases in which the salvation-candidates sincerely accept that Bible solution, then some, maybe many, of the world’s problems would be solved, at least in those individuals’ lives. More sinners getting born again means there are more good influences in the world, and fewer bad influences. Does that not make good Bible sense?

Ron Craig: Evil eventually manifests itself on the outside

Author and Pastor Ron Craig

How on earth can the church solve the world’s problems? It is doable! You see, since most of this planet’s problems originate on the inside of fallen human beings, the solution to world problems is to administer a positive change on the inside of those tainted human beings! Both Jesus and Paul taught that evil originates on the inside of individuals—in their spirits. However, evil eventually manifests itself on the outside in the forms of various activities the Bible calls sin. Cain had inherited Adam’s fallen nature, and it eventually came out in the form of murder of his brother Abel. Therefore, since problems are spawned from a man’s spiritual innards, the solution to those problems is to alter the man’s spiritual innards from evil to righteous. And yes, it is doable!

Author Ron Craig: World cannot give what it does not possess

Author and Pastor Ron Craig

To adequately get across the primary message of these articles, I present to you these additional pertinent Scripture passages. If we are to solve any of the world’s problems, we must first identify the problem areas, and then determine if any possible solutions have been provided. Then, if we find there are genuine solutions, we need to learn how to apply those solutions to the proper problem areas. (One of the modern church’s shortcomings has been to come up with the wrong solutions, and then aim those worthless solutions at the wrong areas of human experience. Some of those frivolous solutions are political correctness, money, entertainment, and saying to the people with problems “Peace, peace,” when there is no peace—Ezekiel 13:10. Nothing from this fallen world can give either inner or outer peace. The world cannot give what it does not possess!)
