We will be judged by what Jesus taught back then

Christian Author and Pastor Ron Craig

John 12:47-50 shows us that Bible interpretation is neither necessary nor God-approved. Let us look closely at our Lord’s own words on that issue. “If any man hears My words, and believes them not, I judge him not [at this time]: For I came not [on this earth-visit] to judge the world, but to save the world. [However,] He who rejects Me and receives not My words has one that will judge him [eventually]: The words that I have spoken [while on earth], the same will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of Myself [given a private interpretation of what God might have meant]; but the Father Who sent Me gave Me a commandment, [exactly] what I should say, and [exactly] what I should speak [no room for even Christ’s private interpretation]. Remember the 1986 Governor’s race

Alabama’s leading Political Columnist Steve Flowers

Since this is a gubernatorial election year, allow me to share an epic Governor’s Race with you.

The 1986 Governor’s race will be remembered as one of Alabama’s most amazing political stories. In 1978 Fob James sent the Three B’s, Brewer, Beasley and Baxley packing. Brewer and Beasley had been permanently exiled to Buck’s Pocket, the mythical destination for defeated Alabama gubernatorial candidates. However, Bill Baxley resurrected his political career by bouncing back to be elected lieutenant governor in 1982, while George Wallace was winning his fifth and final term as governor. Another player arrived on the state political scene. Charlie Graddick was elected as a fiery tough lock ‘em up and throw away the key attorney general. Graddick had previously been a tough prosecuting district attorney in Mobile. Continue reading Remember the 1986 Governor’s race

Do not get caught in that demonic trap

Christian Author and Pastor Ron Craig

If 2 Peter 1:20-21 was valid in the first century, why would it not be valid today? Just because the devil has convinced sinners, and much of the church, that the world has changed, and therefore God must have changed as well, that does not make it so! Remember, the devil is a LIAR. That being so, then neither has the world nor the Word of God changed over time (except for technological advances in the world system). That means that private interpretations of Scripture are just as INVALID today as they were back in the first century. Therefore, God does not allow tampering with His Written Word today any more than He did at any time in the past. Thus, Deuteronomy 4:2 is just as current as is 2 Peter 1:20-21. “You must not add to nor take away from what God has commanded in His Word.” Bible interpretation always either adds to or takes away from the original inspired message from on high. Proverbs 30:5-6 even says that every word of God is PURE (thus needs no improvement), and that if we do add to His Word, we will be proven to be liars. So think. If the devil is a liar, and those who add to God’s Word are liars, that connects Bible interpreters to the devil, and exposes their interpretations as lies. Serious business! Do not get caught in that demonic trap. Continue reading Do not get caught in that demonic trap
