If you plan on getting on the water this weekend, you might want to check out the 17th Annual Elk River, Party, this Saturday July 1st, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Elk River, Anderson Creek. This Boats Only party has been a part of the community for 17 years.
The home owners have taken the time to provide fireworks and a band, with the help of many local sponsors. It is a free event and no invitation is needed.
There are a few rules for the safety of the participation of the celebration.Marine Police ask anyone with alcoholic drinks to keep them in cups – no bottles allowed. Life jackets are also required for each person on board. Fire extinguishers, valid registration of the vessels, and anchors are encouraged. Please be respectful of each other’s space and keep Elk River litter-free.
