FLORENCE–The Shoals Insider is confirming reports that an officer has been shot on Ridge Drive in Lauderdale County.
Police Radio traffic has also indicated a suspect has been shot too. Early reports indicate it may be a Lauderdale County Deputy.
Emergency crews on the scene tell the Insider the suspect took two shots to the chest.
MedFlite helicopters are on the scene as well as the Lauderdale County DA.
