DALLAS – The second-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide arrived in Dallas, Texas, Saturday morning with head Coach Nick Saban, running back Derrick Henry and linebacker Reggie Ragland meeting with the media upon arrival at the team hotel. The Crimson Tide then practiced for 90 minutes before heading to AT&T Stadium for an official welcoming from the Dallas Cowboys that included festivities and a dinner.
Alabama touched down in Dallas around 11 a.m. before traveling to the hotel and holding a brief meeting with the media. The team then enjoyed a lunch and broke for meetings before traveling to Coppell High School for the first full practice in Texas. Following the 90-minute session, the team headed to AT&T Stadium for their official welcoming from the Dallas Cowboys.
Five members of the Crimson Tide offense along with offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin will meet with the media on Sunday morning at 8 a.m. before the team hosts its first full practice at AT&T Stadium beginning around 11 a.m. Monday will feature five members of the Alabama defense along with defensive coordinator Kirby Smart talking with the media at 8 a.m. followed by another 11 a.m. practice session.
Alabama and Michigan State will square off on Thursday, Dec. 31, at 7 p.m. CT for the 2015 College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic. The two teams will meet at AT&T Stadium with the game airing on an ESPN broadcast that will feature Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Heather Cox on the call. The two conference champions will meet for the second time in the history of the storied programs, with the first and only matchup coming in the 2011 Capital One Bowl. In that game on New Year’s Day, the Crimson Tide earned an impressive 49-7 victory over the Spartans.
