LORETTO, TENN. (SHOALS INSIDER) Authorities tell the Shoals Insider a man is behind bars after a high-speed police chase that began in the Shoals and ended in Lawrence County, Tennessee.
The Shoals Insider has received numerous news tips about a high-speed chase thru the Shoals involving Muscle Shoals police, Florence PD, and Colbert County.
Scanner traffic indicated the chase ended in Lawrence County, TN.
Law enforcement officers on the scene tell us the suspect, who was driving a stolen Ford Focus, crashed into an Loretto officer’s cruiser ending the chase.
Authorities say the suspect could be wanted for a possible shooting and murder in Tuscumbia.
Details are sketchy but the suspect attempted to run one of the officers off the road but lost control causing the wreck.
Eye-witnesses tell the Insider the suspect was arrested and transported to a local hospital.
