SHEFFIELD-An early morning, single-car accident has claimed the life of a Muscle Shoals man and
left two others seriously injured.
The deceased has been identified by Colbert County Coroner Carlton Utley as 25 yr. old, Richard Edwards of Muscle Shoals.
Sheffield police tell the Shoals Insider, Mr. Edwards, one of three passengers, was ejected, when the vehicle they were travelling in left the roadway and struck some trees on the west side of Cox Blvd.
The accident occurred around 4:00 this morning.
Sheffield Police tell the Shoals Insider, the other two passengers were transported to Huntsville Hospital in serious condition.
Sheffield Police Department is still investigating the incident.
Muscle Shoals police assisted with traffic control.
