How many of us have enjoyed the Old Railroad Bridge growing up, taking walks, snapping beautiful photos, even a simple stroll with their loved ones? If you live in The Shoals, probably most of us. Colbert County and members of the Quad Cities have selected The Railroad Bridge a project for RiverLine’s Community Planning Initiative program.
Things they program will be focusing on are signage, better access, and potential access to Patton Island. Muscle Shoals National Heritage Director Carrie Crawford said” We are hoping that, as the placemaking project moves forward, even more people will be able to enjoy the bridge and perhaps Patton Island.”
RiverLine’s funding is helping The Shoals with a strategy for the project and recommending possible grant ideas to move the project forward.
