Florence Woman Arrested for Drugs

NEWS ALERT 🚨 TUSCUMBIA

FLORENCE WOMAN ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES

On Wednesday September 13, the Tuscumbia Police Department received a call of potential drug activity at a Hotel located on Highway 72 in Tuscumbia.

While officers investigated the call they conducted a search of the vehicle that fit the description of what they were in. The subsequent search led officers and investigators to locate Methamphetamine and other drugs as well as drug paraphernalia.

Brittany Boone Moody, age 33 of Pickens Avenue in Florence was charged with Trafficking Illegal Drugs-Meth, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, 2nd and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

“This arrest was not related to drug arrest made earlier in the week at another Hotel in Tuscumbia.” said Chief Tony Logan.

Logan further stated, “The Tuscumbia Police Department appreciates the tips and information from concerned citizens to help us keep drugs off of our streets and out of our community,”

Moody is being held in the Colbert County Jail. Her bond has been set at $152,000.
