TUSCUMBIA-(SHOALS INSIDER)-Authorities have confirmed to the Shoals Insider one person is dead and another person has been injured in a shooting that occurred late on Super Tuesday.
According to authorities, the shooting took place at Spring Creek Apartments which is located at 1200 Avenue A, one block East of Woodmont Drive.
Family members have confirmed to the Insider the deceased is 19-year-old Kajana Freeman, also known as “KJ”, of Tuscumbia.
According to authorities, Freeman and another man were seated in a vehicle at the apartments when a man in a white truck pulled up and started shooting
Another injured person has reportedly been flown to Huntsville Hospital and remains in serious condition.
Tuscumbia police say more details will be released later Wednesday morning.
The suspect in this shooting is still at large.
