Jungle Safari Petting Zoo, which recently had an employee arrested for several counts of child molestation, has closed.
Daryl Raymond, 48, was arrested and now sits in jail without possiblity of bond, for his alleged crime.
Robert Engesser, owner of the zoo, that they have temporarily stopped all shows and will not travel to other cities.
Raymond is said to have worked at the zoo for 3 years doing seasonal work for 3 months at a time. The owner says previously that he had no direct contact with children. He did other jobs around the zoo, according to owner Robert Engesser.
Engesser claims that background checks were performed. A search of the National Sex offender Registry doesn’t show up the name Daryl Raymond.
