FLORENCE–Police arrested John Brown last night on warrants for Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card and for forging checks.
An elderly female resident hired Brown to do some work around her home.
Police say Brown used the ladie’s debit card to make cash withdrawals and also forged checks for cash to purchase merchandise to return for cash.
At the time of Brown’s arrest, he had the victim’s credit card in his possession.
Brown is also was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
