TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama football team worked out in full pads Tuesday afternoon during a two-hour practice on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.

The Crimson Tide continued preparations for this weekend’s home opener against Western Kentucky. The focus will be on stopping a WKU offense that produced 649 yards of total offense and 46 points last Thursday against Rice. The Hilltoppers are led by Jeff Brohm, who is in his third season in Bowling Green. Brohm has a career record of 21-7 and has led Western to back-to-back bowl victories and the 2015 Conference USA championship.

Alabama will return to work on Wednesday, once again in full pads, before fine-tuning the gameplan for this weekend at Thursday’s practice. The Tide and Hilltoppers are scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff at Bryant-Denny Stadium on ESPN2. Beth Mowins, Anthony Becht and Rocky Boiman will be on the call.
