FLORENCE–This afternoon, authorities arrested a Florence attorney on multiple felony charges, some involving human trafficking.
Authorities tell the Shoals Insider, Florence attorney Edward Chip Dillard has been arrested on numerous charges of Human trafficking 1st and 2nd degree, sexual abuse, intimidating a witness, and terroristic threats.
Dillard is being held on a $500,000 cash bond in the Franklin County Jail.
Dillard was indicted by a Lauderdale County grand jury yesterday.
Dillard is being represented by Athens attorney John M. Totten.
Arraignment has been set for June 23rd at 9:00am in Judge Mike Jones court.
