KILLEN–A man died Tuesday when his tractor rolled over on top of him, authorities said.
Lauderdale County Coroner Butch Tucker identified the victim as 79-year-old Larry Comer, of Killen.

The accident happened shortly before 3 p.m. at 8827 Lauderdale Road 33 in Killen, Tucker said.

The coroner said Comer was driving along the edge of a creek bank and a rear wheel slipped into the creek, causing the tractor to roll over and crush Comer.

A man who was with him was unable to get the tractor off of him and called authorities.

GREENHILL– According to authorities, a two-vehicle crash Thursday, April 14, has claimed the life of a Killen man.

Troopers say 60-year-old Collin Keith McClanahan was killed when the 1994 Geo Metro he was driving collided with a 2012 Ford Focus.

The Focus was driven by Tiffany Ann Stephens, 22, of Cherokee.

GREENHILL– According to authorities, a two-vehicle crash Thursday, April 14, has claimed the life of a Killen man.

Troopers say 60-year-old Collin Keith McClanahan was killed when the 1994 Geo Metro he was driving collided with a 2012 Ford Focus.

The Focus was driven by Tiffany Ann Stephens, 22, of Cherokee.

McClanahan was transported to ECM Hospital in Florence where he was pronounced dead.

Stephens was uninjured in the crash.

Authorities say the crash occurred at 11:50 a.m. on U.S. 43 at the 335 mile marker, seven miles north of Killen.

Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
