FLORENCE–Authorities tell the Shoals Insider, a single-vehicle crash this morning claimed the life of a Florence man.
State Troopers say Jackie Dale Robinson, 69, was killed when the 2015 GMC Sierra he was driving left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned.
Emergency personnel say Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Troopers, the crash occurred on Alabama Hwy. 20 near the 14-mile marker, four miles west of Florence.
The incident occurred around 5:30 am Monday.
Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
