RUSSELLVILLE-(SHOALS INSIDER)-Authorities tell the Shoals Insider a Franklin county woman and her boyfriend are in custody after the early morning death of her one-year-old child.
According to authorities, the boyfriend, Shannon Gargis, has been charged with capital murder in the death of the child.
Hailey Rose Renfroe, the mother, has been charged with aggravated child abuse, this according to Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver.
Oliver says an autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
Investigators say the child died from what appeared to be physical abuse.
