Timothy Murphy, 35, Lauderdale County Detention Center
On Feb. 3 of 2016 Deputy Randall McCrary was one of five deputies serving a warrant for involuntary mental commitment. The subject of the warrant, Timothy Vincent Murphy, is alleged shot McCrary. He is said to have returned fire.
People who knew Murphy say he has emotional issues.
Murphy was sent to the hospital. Today, upon his release, he was arrested for attempted murder and domestic violence.
McCrary was released after about a week in the hospital. Sources say he is doing fine.
Murphy is being held in the Lauderdale County Detentinon Center on a bond of $60,000.
