(MONTGOMERY)— State officials announced that the federal District Court for the Northern District of Alabama has dismissed CSX Transportation’s lawsuit challenging the application of Alabama’s four percent sales tax to CSX’s purchase of diesel fuel, a ruling that could return more than $10 million in unpaid taxes to Alabama’s Education Trust Fund.
