The third man arrested was Benjamin Young, who was involved in a multi-jurisdictional high-speed chase over the weekend. Young eventually was stopped by Loretto Police in Lawrence County Tennessee, when the stolen Ford Probe he was driving crashed into a patrol car.

Young is being held without bond awaiting extradition to Colbert County on the capital murder charge.

Capote and Hubbard are being held without bond in the Colbert County Jail.

Logan would not say which of the suspects fired the shots.

Chief Logan became emotional as he thanked the Freeman and Dobbs family for their patience in the time it took to apprehend those responsible.

“This was truly senseless,” said Logan.

“I also want to commend Detectives Stuart Setliff and Wes Holland,” said Logan. “They have worked tirelessly on the case,”

Logan concluded, “I also want to thank Colbert County Sheriff Frank Williamson, Muscle Shoals Chief Robert Evans, Lauderdale Sheriff Rick Singleton, and Sheffield Police Chief Greg Ray for all of their help,”

Logan said more details would be released as the investigation and case are still in the infancy stage.

The three will be arraigned in the coming weeks.
