On Saturday morning, shortly before noon, Florence patrol officer Jason Novak was patrolling in the area of Sannoner Ave when he observed a traffic violation. Ofc. Novak activated his emergency lights and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at 739 Sannoner Ave, Florence, AL.

Novak found the vehicle to be occupied by Mr. Jeremy F. Hamner, 30, who resides at that address. Ofc. Novak’s investigation of the traffic stop led to the seizure of drug paraphernalia from within the vehicle. As the call progressed officers made contact with a female, identified as Jacqueline M. Reportedly, officers immediately detected the strong smell of marijuana from within the home and also located two children, under the age of 6, within the residence.

As officers continued their investigation, they located an elaborate indoor marijuana grow within the home. More than 10 mature marijuana plants were located within the home as well as additional loose marijuana. The Department of Human Resources was contacted to ensure the safety of the minor children.
