KILLEN-The Shoals Insider has received information identifying the gunman hold up in the Super 8 Motel in Killen.
Sources close to the situation tell the Insider the gunman’s name is Eddie Collins, who has an extensive criminal record and is wanted on fugitive warrants from Florida.
Several agencies are still waiting Collins out. Madison County Sheriff’s Department and Huntsville Police Department have joined in the effort to assist Killen PD.
The exact number of possible hostages is unknown. Some sources say up to five people and others say possibly three.
