Florence woman dies in crash


JASPER-A two-vehicle crash at 4:08 p.m. today, Nov. 16, has claimed the life of a Florence woman.

Lola Hamilton Bradford, 89, was killed when the 2001 Chevrolet Impala in which she was a passenger collided with a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox.
Bradford, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead on the scene. The Impala’s driver, Laural Chandler, 67, of Jasper, was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham. The Equinox’s driver, Terry Francis Bauer, 66, of Jasper. was also transported to a local hospital. The crash occurred on Alabama 69, near the 217 mile marker, 15 miles north of Jasper.  Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
