Darnell Long
FLORENCE–Authorities have arrested Darnell Long on a list of charges involving a domestic altercation.
Late Tuesday evening, shortly before midnight, officers responded to a 911 call in the 200 block of Madison Ave. Upon arrival, officers met a female who appeared shaken. Mr. Long was also present at the residence. While attempting to determine the nature of the 911 call it was found that Mr. Long and the female had been in a domestic incident, during which Mr. Long is accused of strangling the female and taking her phone to prevent her from contacting police for help. Mr. Long was taken into custody after becoming disorderly and resisting his lawful arrest. He was transported to the LCDC without incident and charged with Domestic Violence Strangulation, Interference with an Emergency Call, Domestic Violence 3rd, Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting Arrest. He is currently being held on bond totaling $9,000.00.
