Judge Ben Graves is receiving our strongest endorsement as he seeks the Circuit Judgeship for Place 1 in Lauderdale County. Ben Graves is the only candidate who has any judicial experience and boy does he have it. As Florence Municipal Judge, Graves has cleared over 30,000 cases since taking over from the late James Hall. Judge Graves listens to theft cases, DUIs, domestic violence cases, child endangerment, assaults and many other crimes that occur within the City of Florence. Florence Municipal Court is very crowded averaging over 200 cases per week and Ben Graves has done an amazing job of being popular with both law enforcement and the attorneys who practice before him. All of the attorneys and police officers we have spoken with talk about his even temperament, his ability to communicate and his understanding of how to apply the law to the facts of each case. The same cannot be said about his opponent.

After talking with Graves about his plans for his Circuit Judgeship, it is clear that he also has some great ideas to help children that have been exposed to the Court system and juveniles at risk of getting involved in the court system to some positive influences through the use and coordination of existing child services and willing volunteers.
