FLORENCE- Officer Involved Shooting: A traffic stop of a stolen vehicle resulted in a foot pursuit of one of the suspects. The incident occurred this afternoon at the Dollar General on Chisholm Road.
This ultimately led to an officer-involved shooting of this individual.
Medical personnel are treating the suspect at this time at ECM Hospital.
Currently, the suspect’s condition is unknown.
The scene has been secured awaiting members of ALEA to process the scene and take over the investigation.
No names are being released at this time.
The Florence Police Department will assist ALEA as necessary.
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department was also on the scene.
