Shoals Reader Riot Book Festival presents a spoken word event at 116 Mobile, includes dinner and ale

FLORENCE– Instead of blowing money at the fair, try something different this year. The Shoals Reader Riot Book Festival (Reader Riot) presents Back Alley Poets on September 22, 2016. The evening is sponsored by Wildwood Tavern and promises to be entertaining and tasty.
The ticketed event at 116 Mobile in downtown Florence includes dinner from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. featuring street food by Whiskey Beef and craft beer by Singin’ River Brewing Company. Performances by spoken word enthusiasts from Huntsville, Jacksonville, and the Shoals begin at 8 p.m. An after party at Wildwood Tavern, adjacent to 116 Mobile, begins at 9:00.

Tickets may be purchased for $20.00 in advance at the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library or via PayPal by visiting the library website at www.flpl.org/readerriot. Tickets will be available at the door the night of the event for $25.00 each. Venue seating is limited and advanced ticket purchase is recommended. The ticket price includes dinner, two beverages, and the performance.

The Shoals Reader Riot is an annual book festival organized by the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library and community volunteers. The first annual festival is scheduled for April 28 & 29, 2017 in downtown Florence.
