FLORENCE–Dr. Janet S. Womack announced today that she will retire in June of next year with time remaining on her contract.
Womack stated in an email her husband has taken a job in Texas and she will relocate to the Dallas area.
Womack has worked for Florence city schools for the past six years and has four more years on her contract.
The school board can opt to let Womack out of her contract. It is unknown what the provisions are for early termination of the contract.
