Joel Andres-Lopez
Police in Russellville say Joel Andres-Lopez stabbed his wife 21 times and his son once in the throat.
The attack happened on St. Clair St. Police were on a domestic violence call. When they arrived they found the mother and son had been stabbed many times.
The victims were taken to the hospital, treated and released.
Joel Andres-Lopez, 36, ran away before police arrived but later turned himself in.
Allegedly Lopez attacked his wife and his teenage son tried to stop him. That’s when police say Lopez stabbed him in the neck.
He has been charged with attempted murder, domestic violence and first degree assault. He is being held on $500,000 bond.
