The woman who was murdered in in Colbert County has been identified by the Colbert County Sheriff.

 


The Woman’s name is Wanda Ivey, 47. She was killed at her home on Blue Road in Tuscumbia, AL on Sunday.
The Sheriff’s department has a man in custody, Timothy Warhurst. No charges have been filed but he is being questioned.
Neighbors of Ivey heard a gunshot around 1:00 pm on Sunday.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s department, Madison police and New Hope police found a man digging a grave near Paint Rock River. Ivey’s body was found in the back of Warhurst’s truck. Officials say Warhurst was caught with the shovel in his hand on County Road 500 in Woodville.
