UNA to Host 5th Annual MLK Day of Service and March

FLORENCE – The University of North Alabama’s fifth annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service and March will take place Monday, Jan. 21, on UNA’s campus.



The following people have been indicted by the December Session of the Lauderdale County Grand Jury

• Jackie Plank Linville, 41, 6271 Lauderdale 81, Florence; unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.


University of North Alabama and Huntsville Hospital Health System Team up for Partnership

FLORENCE – Officials with the University of North Alabama and the Huntsville Hospital Health System announced that they will team up to form a partnership.

An official signing of a Learning Agreement took place recently at Huntsville Hospital.

TUSCUMBIA —The female suspect in the alleged Muscle Shoals sex for cash robbery has made bond.

MUSCLE SHOALS–Two people are in police custody involving an early morning robbery attempt where one of the suspects, Malaivee Hawkins, 25, of Tuscumbia, was killed.
