TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama football team went through a final full practice on Thursday afternoon, working a 90-minute session in shells at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility. The practice focused on special teams and put the final touches on a game plan for Kentucky.
The Crimson Tide and Wildcats will meet this Saturday, Oct. 1, at Bryant-Denny Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 6:05 p.m. CT. Alabama’s homecoming game will air live on ESPN with Dave Pasch and Greg McElroy in the booth and Tom Luginbill on the sidelines for the broadcast.
Alabama and Kentucky will meet for the 40th time in the history of the two programs. Alabama enters Saturday’s contest with a 36-2-1 record all-time against UK, including a 9-0 mark in Tuscaloosa. The Tide defeated Kentucky, 48-7, in Lexington in the last meeting between the two teams in 2013. Head coach Nick Saban is 8-1 in Southeastern Conference home openers at UA and his teams have outscored opponents by a 282-129 mark.
Following Saturday’s home game with the Wildcats, Alabama will travel to Fayetteville for a top-25 matchup with the No. 20/22 Arkansas Razorbacks. The meeting will be the 25th all-time, with the Crimson Tide owning a 16-8 advantage in the series. Head coach Nick Saban is 12-2 against Arkansas in his career, including a 9-0 mark at Alabama. Last season, the Tide defeated the Razorbacks, 27-14, at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
