Crimson Tide gets ready for Kentucky

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama football team practice in full pads for two hours on Tuesday afternoon at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.

Tuesday’s practice focused on putting together a game plan for a strong Kentucky offense. The Wildcats feature the fifth-best rushing offense in the Southeastern Conference with an average of 196.8 yards per game. Alabama and Kentucky will meet up this Saturday, Oct. 1, for a 6:05 p.m. CT matchup at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Tide’s homecoming game will air live on ESPN with Dave Pasch and Greg McElroy in the booth and Tom Luginbill on the sidelines for the broadcast.

Alabama owns the all-time advantage in the series with UK at 36-2-1, including a 9-0 record in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide defeated the Wildcats, 48-7, in Lexington in the last meeting between the two teams in 2013. Head coach Nick Saban is 8-1 in Southeastern Conference home openers at Alabama and his teams have outscored opponents by a 282-129 mark.
