TUSCUMBIA-(SHOALS INSIDER) Authorities tell the Shoals Insider, two men are being treated at a local hospital after a Wednesday night altercation that turned into a stabbing.
Tuscumbia Police Captain Stuart Setliff, who is in charge of operations for the department, tells the Insider, two young men were arguing at a residence on the 300 block of Indian Street near the Colbert County Courthouse when the argument escalated into a physical assault where one man was stabbed.
“Both men were taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. None of the wounds were life-threatening but as a precaution we had a Med- Evac helicopter on standby,” said Captain Setliff.
“We’re expecting to make arrests after we complete a preliminary investigation,” said Setliff.
According to authorities, the 911 call reporting the stabbing was received around 8:30 p.m.
